Enrollment reserves recurring instructional time and is subject to studio approval, program fit, capacity, and availability. The adult student—or the parent or legal guardian enrolling a minor—must provide accurate information and accept these policies before a reservation is confirmed.

The program, price, enrollment period, schedule, and payment arrangement shown in the enrollment confirmation or Stripe checkout are part of the agreement. If a signed enrollment document or controlling scholarship rule contains a more specific term, that term controls for the applicable transaction.

Unless tuition is prepaid or paid through a scholarship marketplace, monthly tuition is due and charged on the first day of each month using the payment method authorized through Stripe. By choosing recurring monthly billing, the account holder authorizes Encore Performance Studios to charge the disclosed monthly amount on the first of each month during the selected enrollment period.

If enrollment begins after a block has started, the first payment may be prorated based on the remaining scheduled lessons. Books, replacement materials, unreturned lending items, or another separately approved charge may be billed in addition to tuition only when disclosed.

Monthly billing does not continue into a new school-year block unless the family affirmatively enrolls or otherwise authorizes the new period.

A payment is late when it is not successfully paid by its stated due date. Encore may notify the account holder, request an updated payment method, and permit Stripe to retry a declined charge. No undisclosed late fee will be added.

If an unpaid balance remains unresolved for seven calendar days after notice, lessons may be paused. If it remains unresolved for fourteen calendar days after notice, Encore may release the student’s recurring time. Pausing or releasing a time does not erase valid charges already earned or due.

A confirmed appointment repeats weekly during the selected Block A or Block B, excluding published studio closures. Mid-block enrollment may be prorated using the number of scheduled lessons remaining. The studio may adjust the count for an approved exception or calendar correction.

Full September–May tuition paid upfront receives a 10% discount. An additional sibling receives 5% off that sibling’s tuition. Discounts are calculated from base tuition. Combining a studio discount with Utah Fits All or another funded program requires confirmation that the controlling program permits it.

Students should arrive on time and prepared with assigned materials. A late arrival does not extend the scheduled end time. A family may not transfer its recurring time to another person without written studio approval.

Schedule changes must be requested directly from the studio and depend on program fit and current availability. The existing appointment remains in effect until Encore confirms a new time.

Contact the studio at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time when a student cannot attend or needs to request a change. Makeup lessons are allowed when availability permits but are not guaranteed. An approved makeup may be in person, live online, recorded instruction and feedback, or a combination.

A no-show or cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice is charged at the normal rate and ordinarily does not qualify for a makeup, credit, or refund. Illness, family emergencies, severe weather, and comparable unexpected events may be considered individually at the studio’s reasonable discretion.

If Encore cancels a lesson, the studio will offer a reasonable makeup or account credit. If Encore cannot maintain the purchased instruction and cannot provide an acceptable replacement within a reasonable period, the family will receive a prorated refund for the affected undelivered lessons.

A substitute format may be offered when reasonable, including live online or recorded instruction. A material, long-term change to the purchased program will be discussed with the family rather than imposed without notice.

Tuition, packages, books, and other sales are generally final once purchased. Completed lessons, student absences, no-shows, late cancellations, and voluntary withdrawal do not ordinarily qualify for a refund or credit.

Refunds are provided when required by applicable law or a controlling marketplace rule, or when Encore cannot provide the purchased instruction as described above. Any additional exception is at the studio’s reasonable discretion. An approved refund for discounted or prepaid tuition may be recalculated at the standard rate for lessons already delivered, with the balance refunded to the original payment method when practicable.

Scholarship enrollment depends on current Utah Fits All requirements, available student funds, marketplace approval, and studio availability. Encore does not determine eligibility and cannot guarantee approval, reimbursement, or timing of payment.

Utah Fits All packages are paid upfront through the approved marketplace and must not be paid again through Stripe. After completing the Marketplace purchase, a family may request an available weekly time. The temporary hold becomes a confirmed enrollment only after the studio verifies the Marketplace transaction.

When a marketplace or program rule conflicts with these policies, the controlling rule applies to the funded transaction. Families remain responsible for approved charges not paid by the scholarship or third party.

Vocal instruction teaches musical and healthy-use fundamentals but is not medical care, diagnosis, speech therapy, or treatment. Results vary, and no particular range, role, audition result, competition outcome, or performance opportunity is guaranteed.

A student must stop and promptly tell the instructor about pain, breathing difficulty, dizziness, sudden voice loss, or other concerning symptoms. Students should not sing through pain or persistent hoarseness. The student or guardian is responsible for obtaining evaluation from an appropriate licensed healthcare professional when symptoms warrant it and for disclosing limitations needed to teach safely.

Students should not attend in person when they have a fever, vomiting, a contagious condition, or symptoms that make participation unsafe or substantially disrupt instruction. Contact the studio as early as possible to discuss an online, recorded, or makeup option under the attendance policy.

Encore may end an in-person lesson or ask a student to leave when the instructor reasonably believes continued participation presents a health or safety concern.

The studio operates in a residential setting. Students, parents, siblings, and guests must use designated walkways and entrances, use stair handrails, avoid restricted household areas, follow posted or verbal safety directions, and use added care around stairs, uneven or wet surfaces, snow, ice, vehicles, instruments, cords, pets, and other ordinary residential conditions.

Visitors should promptly report a spill, obstruction, damaged step, loose handrail, or other hazard. Encore will exercise reasonable care in maintaining the lesson area, but visitors remain responsible for ordinary caution and for supervising accompanying children who are not in a lesson.

A parent or guardian must provide current emergency contact information and remain reachable during a minor’s lesson. The responsible adult must ensure safe arrival and prompt pickup. Encore’s supervision begins when the instructor receives the student for the lesson and ends when the lesson concludes and the student is released under the family’s stated pickup arrangement.

Siblings and other guests are not supervised by the instructor unless they are enrolled in the active lesson. A responsible adult must supervise them, particularly on stairs, outdoors, and near instruments or studio equipment.

Families should disclose allergies, medical restrictions, accessibility needs, or emergency information reasonably necessary for safe participation. Encore does not administer medication or provide medical treatment except basic first aid within the instructor’s ability.

If the instructor reasonably believes urgent help is needed, Encore may contact the parent or guardian, call 911, and provide relevant emergency information. The family remains responsible for medical decisions and costs, subject to applicable law.

Students and visitors must treat people, instruments, animals, furnishings, and studio property respectfully. Threats, harassment, discrimination, unsafe conduct, intentional disruption, theft, or deliberate damage may result in immediate removal or termination of enrollment.

To the extent permitted by law, the responsible adult may be charged the documented reasonable cost to repair or replace property damaged through intentional, reckless, or seriously careless conduct. Ordinary wear from appropriate lesson use is expected.

Students may need to purchase appropriate books, sheet music, or supplies. Materials identified as studio lending copies remain Encore’s property and must be returned at the end of the semester or earlier when requested.

A $30 replacement fee may be charged when a lending copy is not returned. Copyrighted music and studio-created materials may be used only as permitted by the studio and applicable copyright law.

Online piano and vocal instruction is private and may be live, recorded, or combined. Families are responsible for a suitable device, internet connection, camera and audio setup, safe practice area, and adult assistance for a minor when reasonably needed. Ordinary home internet or device failure does not automatically require a refund.

Lesson links and recordings are for the enrolled student. Families may not record, share, post, sell, copy, or redistribute a lesson, instructor image or voice, student recording, sheet music, or instructional material without prior permission and any required rights-holder authorization.

Enrollment alone is not permission to use an identifiable student’s name, image, voice, or performance in public marketing. Encore will obtain separate adult or parent/guardian permission before publishing identifiable student media.

Encore may collect contact, scheduling, enrollment, payment-status, and lesson information reasonably needed to operate the studio. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not entered on this website. Information may be disclosed when required by law, necessary for payment or scholarship administration, or needed to address a credible safety concern.

Music participation and visiting a residential studio involve ordinary risks, including vocal fatigue, minor strains, trips, slips, falls, stairs, weather, and interaction with instruments or equipment. Students and visitors agree to follow safety instructions, use reasonable care, and promptly communicate hazards or physical concerns.

This risk acknowledgment does not waive a minor’s rights, excuse gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or waive any duty or remedy that Utah law does not permit the parties to waive. Educational progress and performance results are not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, liability for a purely tuition-related economic claim is limited to the amount paid for the affected enrollment period; that limit does not apply to personal injury or other nonwaivable claims.

Encore may move a lesson online, reschedule, issue a credit, or cancel when weather, utility failure, public-health conditions, emergency orders, instructor illness, or another event outside reasonable studio control prevents normal instruction. The studio will communicate material changes as soon as reasonably possible.

Encore may update these policies prospectively by providing reasonable notice. A change does not retroactively remove a right or obligation that already arose unless the parties agree or applicable law requires it.

These terms are governed by Utah law. Before filing a non-emergency legal claim, the parties should first provide written notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the concern informally. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining terms will continue. Nothing here limits a right that cannot legally be limited.
